The BlackOps group provide 24x7 operational support for various centralized computing services at the University of Michigan including IMAP email,  email routing,  the LDAP UMOD,  and Charged-For Printing.

To report an outage or emergency to blackops oncall, please text page us. You can send a short message to blackops@beepage.itd.umich.edu.

You can also use the beep command on the login servers:

    moonpatrol% beep blackops '7-digit phone number, problem description'

Message length is limited to approximately 200 characters.

Note that for problems with UMCE Web services including webmail at mail.umich.edu the UMCE Web Team (www) is the correct contact and can most rapidly resolve the problem. The login.itd.umich.edu and kerberos servers are managed by the GPCC/IAA Team (gpcc).

If you do not receive a response within 20 minutes, send a numeric page to blackops oncall at +1 (734) 615-3167.

If you do not receive a response within 20 minutes after the numeric page, escalate by sending a short message to thecleaner@beepage.itd.umich.edu.

You may also use the beep command on the login servers and the unix.itd machines.
